HealthNow New York Upgrades to TriZetto's Facets Extended Enterprise
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – August 12, 2004 – HealthNow New York Inc., a health plan serving nearly 900,000 members, will now be able to increase its administrative efficiency thanks to its recent upgrade to Facets Extended Enterprise™ (Facets e2), flagship software from The TriZetto Group Inc. (NASDAQ: TZIX).
HealthNow has been using the Facets platform since July 1997. By migrating its membership to Facets e2, the newest version of the software, the health plan can benefit from the expanded business functionality the comprehensive system delivers. These features include support for consumer-directed products, highly efficient customer service and a redesigned user interface. TriZetto and HealthNow forged a true partnership that ensured a smooth conversion to the new system.
"After months of careful planning and close collaboration with TriZetto, our multi-location upgrade to Facets e2 was completed over one weekend," said Linda Navarra, vice president of Systems Services for HealthNow. "Thanks to constant communication, on-site visits from TriZetto staff and a thorough product training program, our installation was on time and on budget. The next day, we were fully operational and taking advantage of the software's enhanced functionality."
"The Facets installation at HealthNow demonstrates TriZetto's commitment to the success of its customers," said Tony Bellomo, president of TriZetto's software unit. "We are dedicated to meeting the business requirements of each individual health plan we serve. For example, we developed tailored, in-depth training specifically for HealthNow staff to help them use Facets e2 to its fullest potential."
HealthNow also uses several of TriZetto's specialty software components to address its broader business needs. With the HealthWeb® e-business platform, HealthNow has been able to offer providers and members online self-service options, which can reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction. The company also uses NetworX™Pricer, TriZetto's claims pricing engine that automates even the most complex provider contracts. Using it, the health plan can cut in half the time it takes to set up and maintain contract terms in its system.
Facets e2 is a comprehensive system that tightly integrates applications and information across a health plan's business cycles. The highly automated system includes new functionality for key areas such as claims processing and customer service, which HealthNow can use to boost its productivity. For instance, the customer service module allows the health plan to track customer calls in an intuitive and logical manner that resolves inquiries quickly and accurately. In addition, the system offers new functionality to ease integration with third-party applications. TriZetto's HIPAA compliance capabilities and HealthWeb e-business applications are also now more tightly integrated with Facets e2.
