TriZetto Earns Second Consecutive Appearance on Deloitte & Touche Fast 500 Ranking
159th Fastest-Growing Technology Company in the U.S.
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – October 22, 2003 – The TriZetto Group Inc. (Nasdaq:TZIX) today announced that it has been named for the second consecutive year by Deloitte & Touche among the 500 fastest-growing technology companies in the U.S.

In the Deloitte & Touche 2003 North America Technology Fast 500, TriZetto was ranked 159th. The ranking is based on the percentage of growth in fiscal year revenues from 1998 to 2002. According to the calculation used by Deloitte & Touche, TriZetto increased revenues by 2,220 percent over this five-year period, from $11,431,000 to $265,150,000. On October 7, TriZetto was also recognized as the fourth fastest growing technology company in Orange County as a third-time recipient of a Fast 50 award, Deloitte & Touche's regional program.
To qualify for the Fast 500, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 1998 and $1,000,000 in 2002, must be public or private companies headquartered in North America, and be "technology companies," defined as companies that own proprietary technology which contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues or devotes a high percentage of effort to research and development of technology.
